The 2026 Primaries are fast approaching, with election day (Tuesday, March 3) less than 3 weeks away!
Because Texas is strongly partisan in many areas, the primary often decides the eventual winner, especially for state and local offices. In Travis County, the Democratic primary is frequently the decisive election for local roles.
This year’s elections are big ones in Texas, with contests at the Federal (US Senate & House), Statewide Executive Offices, and Local Level up for grabs. A great resource to better understand the candidates on the ballot and their positions is the League of Women Voters Guide that you can find here. After the recent redistricting, we are now in US House District 37, Texas House District 51, Texas Senate District 14, and State Board of Education District 5.
